Season ends on the crest of a purple patch wave and the Bowl final postponed til 2010. DoC has emailed you all with his seasonal review and the opportunity to email in your vote for Players Player of the Year 2009.

Final SWFTL Match Thursday 27th August called off by Wenvoe staff.

Do you remember when it didn't rain ? We thought you could do with a reminder. So we have posted a cornucopia of excellent photographs of the CBBs in action during 2009 viz :

CBBs v Glamorgan Centurions August 2009 @ Wenvoe (devilgas.com)
CBBs v Housing Hawks August 2009 @ Wenvoe (devilgas.com)
CBBs v Chartered Trust 2009 @ Llanrumney (Imran Ahmed)

Rain rain go away. Monday 24th August v St Fagans and Tuesday 25th August v Hurricanes rained off.

Devilgas.com have visited with us recently to take some pro shots of the CBBs in action. Bathe in their lovliness here for now. Photos coming to our site soon too. Muchos Gracias Dave.

Thats win, win, win & win gentlemen with our SWFTL Bowl final on Monday. A CBBs purple patch as season 2009 draws to a close. Great team performances and some standout individual performances too just prior to voting for our awards. Welling up here chaps.....

The Infeasibly Large August Availability Doodle

mr ch has created this poll.

"Do you want to take Wednesday 19th August off and go to SWALEC Stadium to see Glamorgan v Middlesex in the Pro 40 ?

Starts 4:40pm so don't need to book a day off.

Subject to rearranging SWFTL Sportsman's Rest game..."

Comprehensive win for CBBs v Uni Staff in the Plate.

Damp Squib : The Rain sees the Willow League splutter to a close. Last two fixtures rained off and our chance to thump the league winners sails down the Swanney. We finish 9th behind the Consmen who get 8th by beating us. A couple of tactical "crying offs" and we could have made 5th it was observed. The curse of the averages. The Plate beckons and the chance to lock horns once more with the usual suspects.....

Cutting to the chase. GE Healthcare cannot raise a team for tomorrow 1st July so the Willow League match is OFF. 15 much needed points for us.

DoC & Mr Ch hope that you all (not just the 12 picked for the match) will turn up at Wenvoe for an Inter Team Challenge ? The Happy Birthday Mr Chairman 50 Not Out Challenge ?

Yes / No ??

DoC, Mr Ch & Captain.

Hard on the heels of last weeks SWFTL 3 being off comes the news that WL 3 v Cardiff Uni Staff is OFF too (16: 47 26th May 2009)

With SWFTL 2 and WL 2 succumbing to the precipitation, all we can offer is a new link to Rhiwbina CC's website, their report on WL 1 and The Way We Were.

After a great start in the Willows league and an "under arm" performance in the Full Toss league, it's time to make yourself available again. Please fill in the doodle

The SWFTL website has been set up bathed in a non contentious green hue. All teams should check their contact email accounts for an invitation to join the SWFTL site as contributors. Hello Gentlemen,

It's that time of year again and I am busy organising nets, fixtures, socials, coaching and keeping Imran's chin up......
yes the cricket season will be here very soon (along with the rain).

Nets haven't been confirmed yet but I am confident they will start next Wednesday 4th March.
We have some on Wednesdays and some on Tuesdays (for the people who said they can't make Wednesdays).
Please turn up, £3 a go - we need 7 people at each session to break even!!!

PDF attached, please print it out and stick it up in your workplace - we need more players for this season.

I think that's it, see you all Wednesday 4th March starting @ 17:30 (get there 10 mins before!)
